Suggested Itinerary

This is just a start point to give you some ideas. We can adapt the trip as needed to ensure you get the adventure you are looking for.

Day One: Arrive Entebbe. You will be met by your guide and taken to your accommodation within 10 minutes drive. Time for rest before heading off on your adventure!

Day Two: Drive to Kibale National Forest, relax and overnight at your lodge ready for trekking the chimpanzees!

Day Three: Head off after breakfast for chimp trekking in Kibale. Enjoy all of the sights, sounds, birds and primates of the forest before lunch and afternoon swamp walk.

Days Four - Six: Drive to the Ishasha sector in search of the tree-climbing lions before heading south to Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest to find the Mountain Gorillas tucked away in the jungle. Spend time relaxing in the community at R4W women’s empowerment group, wander through the markets and shops, and enjoy one or two of Laban’s cocktails in the forest!

Day Seven: Hike from Buhoma to Nkuringo (or drive if you prefer) through the rainforest, witnessing all of the sights and sounds of this living and active biome - the blue Turaco, waterfalls, giant fig trees, monkeys, and the enormous buttress roots of the tallest trees; a magical kingdom awaits you! Head to Lake Mutanda for a well-earned rest by the water and take in the view of the Virunga Volcanoes as you chill.

Day Eight: Spend time in Kisoro district with the options of climbing a volcano, visiting Kisoro town, taking dug-out canoes out on the lake or if you have a big passion for primates head to Mgahinga for Golden Monkey Trekking.

Day Nine: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park with options of a tented camp safari, a face to face encounter with the animals on a walking safari, a boat ride to see the hippos (and enjoy a sundowner with them) or a riding safari by horseback. Plenty to choose from before heading back to Entebbe

Day Ten: Cross the Equator (stopping for a fascinating experiment with gravity and a bit of lunch), and time allowing, take a wander around the botanical gardens on Lake Victoria before your flight home.
