So, while we have included sample itineraries here, these really are just a start point to whet the appetite and spark your imagination. They can be sliced and diced, shortened, lengthened or given a particular focus - perhaps adventure, culture, giving back or volunteering or straight up classic safari. It is entirely your choice - we will simply listen to your needs and craft the right trip for you.
Northeast Uganda
A Ugandan exploration that takes you to the remote and vast savannah grasslands of Kidepo Valley National Park, in the region of Karamoja. Enjoy big game viewing and the cultural delights of the area . At Murchison Falls you will enjoy safari by boat and truck - along the Nile to the thunderous falls and the elephants, giraffe, lions, leopards and more in Uganda’s largest National Park.
Forests & Falls
A favourite journey here at Tambula, this trip takes you to rhinos in the wild, on a climb to the top of Murchison Falls, for sunset with crocs and hippos on the Nile, trekking chimps in Kibale National Forest, time in the community among the misty hills of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Gorillas in the jungle, walking or riding safari at Lake Mburo and a drive across the equator. It’s a gem.
Southwest Uganda
From Entebbe to the chimps of Kibale, onwards to Bwindi Impenetrable, Mountain Gorillas and time in the community of Buhoma. Hike through the rainforest and stay near the foot of the Virunga Volcanoes at Lake Mutanda. East to Lake Mburo for crocs, hippos, tented camping and walking safari before an equator crossing, Lake Victoria and home. A thrilling adventure.
Complete Uganda
