Face Forward - Keeping Bwindi moving
Helping the communities of Uganda Face Forward
Emerging from the COVID-19 lockdown we all know that the world is a different place, though we’ve yet to see and understand what our “new normal” will look like.
For some though, the world has imploded. Rigid lockdown restrictions in countries like Uganda are causing misery and famine. With no tourists to help the economy, and little if any state aid, the remote towns and villages have no income and no way of feeding their kids.
Women’s empowerment charity Ride4aWoman sits on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable rainforest and provides work for a community of women brought together through domestic violence, poverty and HIV. They learn new skills and make products from local African fabrics to sell to tourists and tourist shops. But there are no tourists now.
Determined to find a way forwards, the women are now using their skills to make face masks. Selling these masks means food for their kids and families.
Please donate today and we will post you these stunning hand-made masks, your donations will help feed the women and families of Bwindi.
Donate £24.95 and we will post four masks to you or your friends, anywhere in the UK. Pass them to friends and colleagues and ask them to donate to receive another four and do the same - that way we keep paying it forward.
Businesses or organisations with a minimum of £100 to donate will help support us in building a seed fund to kickstart increased production and shipping, a great message for Corporate Social Responsibility. To keep paying it forward we will provide you with a logo and link to pin to your own social media sites. And we can work with you to produce masks in colours that reflect your organisation's branding.
Please donate here and provide a postal address for delivery via this form

We will match your details with your donation and post your masks to you as soon as we can.
Let’s help each other Face Forward, let’s help the families of Bwindi buy food.
