The Journey

This exploration of the Central, Northern and Eastern parts of Uganda is simply magical. It takes you to Murchison Falls where the Albert and White Niles come together and force their way through a seven-metre gap, then on up to the remote & frankly stunning Kidepo Valley National Park bordering with Kenya & South Sudan and home to the Karamajong; on down to Mt Moroto and south to Sipi Falls finishing in Jinja at the Source of the Nile. What a dream of a trip.

Suggested Itinerary

This is just a start point to give you some ideas. We can adapt the trip as needed to ensure you get the adventure you are looking for.

Day One: Arrive Entebbe. You will be met by your guide and taken to your accommodation within 10 minutes drive. Time for rest before heading off on your adventure!

Day Two - Four: Drive North to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will trek with a ranger on foot to see some of the 26 Rhinos close up. After lunch continue north to Murchison Falls, the biggest National Park in Uganda. Get ready for viewing game and big surprises - roof up and wind in your hair! You will also cruise up the great River Nile to the thunderous Murchison Falls and if you like, take a hike to the Top of the Falls (this is a special climb - just 45 mins on foot and well worth the effort).

Day Five - eight: Head to Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda’s most isolated park located in the remote north east of the country. One of east Africa’s most magnificent wildernesses, the landscape is dramatic with open savannah grassland sitting before rugged mountains. Here you can enjoy game drives with all of the big game favourites, beautiful bird life and cultural experiences among the fascinating Karamoja people.

Day Nine: Drive south to Mount Moroto and discover more about the Karamajong culture…

Day Ten: On to Sipi Falls to enjoy the Eastern side of Uganda, Mount Elgon and the stunning Sipi Falls. Hike the three waterfalls to the plateau for awesome views, learn about the way coffee is grown (and sample it…wonderful), visit the local villages to understand the culture of this side of Uganda, and for the adrenalin junkies among you, why not abseil down Sipi Falls.

Day Eleven: Drive to Jinja on Lake Victoria with the chance to sail out to the source of the Nile, go horse riding, stroll through the town, take a bike ride through history, or ride the white water if you seek a thrill.

Day Twelve: Head back to Entebbe for return flight home….taking countless incredible memories with you.
